The pleasure of your company is requested at the meeting of the Albany Sovereign Chapter of Rose Croix in joint session with the other coordinant bodies of the Valley of Albany on Thursday, February 16, 2012, which will include a very special lecture by noted local author, Will Martin, on the topic of his book, Benedict Arnold: Legacy Lost (A Ghost Story). Attendance at the meeting will be open to AASR Members only. Brothers, family, and friends are invited and encouraged to attend Mr. Martin’s lecture.

Meeting: 7:30 p.m.

Will Martin is an independent psychohistorian who has a special interest in early American history. Benedict Arnold: Legacy Lost (A Ghost Story) is his first novel. This novel blends a collage of historical facts, characters and plot line into an adventure that offers an answer to the question: “Why did Benedict Arnold betray his country.” Mr. Martin will make a special effort to weave Arnold’s Masonic connections into the fabric of his lecture.

Following the program, all those in attendance will adjourn to the beautiful library and first floor foyer of the Albany Masonic Hall for a time of collation, catered by Chef Ray Gaul, when we will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Martin and further discuss this fascinating program.

Children’s Christmas Party
Dec. 4th, 2011

On December, 4th, Mount Vernon and Guttenberg Lodges held their annual Children’s Christmas Party.  Handing out dozens of gifts donated by the Lodges to children.  Along with the toys, crafts and great food were provided resulting in another great success as was evident by the smile on all the children’s faces.  It is times like these that help us remember that it is through love and caring that true happiness is achieved.

Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 3 and Guttenberg Lodge No. 737 are proud to announce the Annual Joint Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at the Albany Masonic Temple from 2:00 – 4:00PM.

There will be gifts for all the children whom must register with the Lodge’s chairmen.

Children of Lodge members, their grand-children, nieces, nephews, friends, etc who are ages 1 day to 12 years old are cordially invited to attend.

There will be the usual great refreshments, entertainment, and of course, jolly old St. Nick!

So get those names with their age in right now so no child is missed.  Remember that contributions are needed to help defray the cost of this party.  The cost of gifts, as well as everything else, has gone up.
